Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my Portfolio! Now, a little about me.
Short Version
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems, where I discovered my passion for the creative and problem-solving aspects of business. I'm a dedicated and quick learner, eager to kickstart my career in a company that encourages continuous learning and growth.
Long Version
I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and during high school, I was unsure about my college path. However, three things were clear:
1. I wanted to attend the University of Oklahoma, Boomer Sooner!
2. I loved math and numbers (data)
3. I loved Excel
With these three things in mind, I decided to go to OU and major in accounting. You may be saying to yourself. "Accounting? But above you said you were an aspiring data analyst." Valid observations. Like many college students, I changed my field of study many times, and eventually, I settled on majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS). After I took my first MIS course, I discovered my love for the creative, problem-solving, and coding aspects of business.
Throughout college, I juggled two jobs as a childcare worker and a server/bartender. While these positions may not be technical in nature, they equipped me with many skills that I will carry into my future career. These experiences have taught me to be a great multitasker, organizer, and team player. They instilled in me the importance of customer satisfaction and how to maintain patience amidst challenging circumstances. I will always cherish the memories, skills, and friends I made during my time in these jobs.
A question I often get is, "Why move to California?" Well, my parents grew up in California, and I spent many vacations here visiting family. I always knew I wanted to move out to California. With the support of loved ones, I figured right after college was the ideal time to make the move. And here I am, turning my childhood dream of living in California into reality!
